1. Date, September 13th 9:00 a.m. Utah State Fair Park (last Saturday and 4-H day at the fair).
2. Come before 7:30 a.m. and there is no charge for your family to stay at the fair! Trailers must be moved however by 2:00 p.m. for the truck pull tocome in.;
3. Cost $10 pre-registration fee per person, no refunds
4. Eligible: All Seniors currently registered in 4-H, choose your own team of four. Counties can mix teams.
All 4-H Seniors throughout the State of Utah are invited to come join us in a fun filled day at the Utah State Fair! Our show will start at 9:00 a.m. Teams will consist of sets of three, and you can cross county lines in picking a team. If you do not have a full team let me know, and we will fill in with someone from another county.
The following events will take place:
Free-style Halter (impress the judge with your abilities!),
Western Horsemanship,
Pairs Pleasure (for extra points),
Free-style reining (three minute max),
Poles,
Toilet Paper Barrels, and
Gymkhana.
All Seniors must be registered with their county, and have a current release and code of conduct form on file with their county. Cost is $10 per person, and non refundable. Each family pulling a trailer will get in for free until time of the show. The show will be over by 2:00 pm. then truck pulls will come in. You will have free admission to the fair, for the rest of the day. Top ten teams of three will receive rosettes, and top ten individuals will also receive rosettes. Every child who pre-registers by September 10th receives a bonus gift worth at least ten dollars! In case of bad weather, events may change a bit, but the show WILL go on. One of the funnest shows we had was in the rain and mud!
